Mercedes M111 M104 spark plug set for EXTREME power levels

When increasing the performance of your Mercedes-Benz with an M111 or M104 engine, choosing the right spark plug is crucial. Depending on the performance increase and operating conditions, spark plugs with the original heat range may function up to a certain point. However, it is advisable to select a spark plug with a heat range suitable for extended periods of high load.

An increase in performance, particularly through increased boost pressure but also through higher engine speeds, increases the thermal stress on the spark plug. Therefore, "colder" spark plugs should be used once a certain power increase is achieved. These are characterized by their ability to dissipate the absorbed heat more effectively to the cylinder head.

We can offer the following recommendations for the use of these spark plugs:

• M111 specific output:
  • Racing use: 150 - 200 hp/l
  • Drifting performance: 170 - 220 hp/l
  • Everyday use: 190 - 250 hp/l
• M104 specific output:
  • Racing use: 190 - 240 hp/l
  • Drifting performance: 210 - 260 hp/l
  • Everyday use: 230 - 290 hp/l
