Thanks to the generous adjustment options of the design, this shifter is also suitable for 6-speed conversions on: W124, W201, W210, R129 SL, etc. For these vehicles, minor adjustments to the transmission tunnel or the shifter may be necessary.

Option 1: Without Reverse-Lock: Our proven standard.
This shifter can only be used in conjunction with transmissions that have an internal reverse gear lock, such as 716.606, 716.608, 716.644, 716.653, 716.654, 716.655, 716.657, 716.658, 711.670, etc. These transmissions can usually be recognized by the fact that they are originally operated via a single shift rod and have a shift pin that is slightly spherical.
Option 2: With Reverse-Lock: The all-rounder.
This shifter has a reverse gear lock that must be consciously released. For this reason, it can be used in conjunction with almost all 6-speed transmissions, especially those whose shift gate selection is originally implemented via a Bowden cable, such as 716.620, 716.622, 716.627, 716.630, 716.633, 716.640, 716.646, 716.647, 716.648, 716.649, 716.651, 716.663, etc. With these transmissions, a pinned lever arm must usually be removed from the shift pin beforehand.
