These special replacement steering stop caps for your Mercedes W124, W201, W202, C208 CLK, R170 SLK, and other models allow you to repair the original steering stops. You also have the option of purchasing extended steering stops, which allow you to decrease the steering angle. This may be required for certain wheel types.
Original steering stops are still available from Mercedes, but at a hefty price. Furthermore, starting with certain models, the steering stops were no longer screwable, but riveted into the steering knuckle. In these cases, the only option is usually to replace the plastic caps, which are often worn and damaged after 30 years.
Please choose between the following options:
- Option 1: W202 C208 R170 Standard (standard size as original)
- Option 2: W202 C208 R170 +5mm (A 5mm extended variant)
- Option 3: W201 W124 R107 +5mm (A 5mm extended variant)
The W124 4matic originally has the steering stops of the W202!

Technical details:
- Precisely manufactured from high-quality PA6.6 (nylon)
- Hole with retaining ring => snaps into the groove of the steel mandrel
Scope of delivery:
- 2x steering stop cap in the selected variant
Installation instructions: Carefully heat the side with the hole to 50-60°C using a heat gun. Lubricate the mandrel on the steering knuckle with a small amount of oil or grease. Place the protective cap on the mandrel and gently tap it in place with a hammer.
