The key difference is that in the standard transmission mount, the central section is suspended "floating" on only two lateral rubber supports. This allows for significant relative movement and a high vibration absorption rate. The AMG version of the mount, however, features an additional rubber support at the bottom, making it considerably stiffer and less focused on comfort.
